Developing Healthy Eating Habit for Our Kids
Date: 27 Jul 2010 Comments:0Our children first learn food preferences from us parents. That is why; I see to it that I am preparing healthy foods for my kids because I want to set a good example by the foods we eat.
There are ways to help our children develop good eating habits. And it is our choice how to practice it at home. Try to make simple recipes for kids. Expose our children to a variety of foods but make sure that it contains nutrition they need. We can always experiment with different vegetables. If we notice that our children like vegetables and do not like fish, serve vegetables that is more appealing to their taste more often. But make simple recipes for kids. Our duty is to provide healthy foods for them, and their function is to eat what they need. Keep a casual attitude about their refusal of certain foods. We can always find books that offers simple recipes for kids, try to be resourceful.
If our children refuse to eat a meal, it doesn’t mean they will not eat on the next meal. Children generally eat what they need. In fact, they will probably eat more on the next meal, so this is the time to prepare for nutritious food that they will be excited to eat.
